Along with sharing Max's story about internet safety to elementary students, I've also been talking to numerous middle-school girls in the area all about the Miss Ohio program and how they can apply the four points of the crown (Scholarship, Service, Style and Success) to their everyday lives!

All ready for my last day of teaching and tutoring! I've had a great time helping a student with my favorite subject... MATH!!

C.A.L.L Food Pantry

Tonight was a first for both my mom and I! We had a free evening and decided to head over to C.A.L.L Food Pantry, Inc. to volunteer. We spent the evening organizing and restocking clothes, and we will definitely be trying to make volunteering here a more frequent event!

Daily Standard Article

After giving my presentation all throughout the community, the Daily Standard decided to write an article about my platform and what I've been doing!

A Date with Great-Grandpa

I got my license last month, and had the great opportunity to take my 90-year old great-grandpa out to breakfast. It was great to catch-up with him, and hear all of his stories.

Fun-filled Packets

Every school I visit gets multiple packets (one for each classroom) to take with them after I leave. In them, I put some internet safety facts, a few activities, and an autographed picture for them to hang up!

Max the Knight

The hero in the story. Max is a young knight who goes on a quest to save a princess. Along the way he meets many characters that try to stop his journey.

A teenage dragon who is addicted to his cell phone, and misses many things because of it.

These are some mean fairies that give Max an idea of what it is like to be cyberbullied.

Erica Gelhaus (Miss Ohio 2009) stopped back in our hometown St. Henry, and let me talk to her about my platform and other aspects of the pageant. When I was in 3rd grade, Erica came to my platform, and she really inspired me to want to go out in my community and make a difference.

Spring Piano Recital

My mom and I held our annual Spring Piano Recital again this year. 5 out of my 9 students participated, and they all did wonderful! It is amazing to teach and watch all of them grow!!

OFEA Volunteering

This past school year, I devoted much of my free time at school to an organization known as OFEA. The OFEA volunteers their study hall time to a teacher in the elementary school, and helps in their classroom a few times a week. I have loved being able to work with Mrs. Huelsman and all of the adorable kindergartners this year!!

Tonight I stopped by to talk to some of the Eagle Scouts who are collecting gently used shoes for developing countries. My family and I went through our closets, and were able to donate a whole tub of shoes!
